One Project
From 2021-2024 I worked at One Project, an organization building platforms to support democratic economies. As the Communications Designer & Facilitator, my work consisted of designing internal and external communications deliverables, such as presentations, reports, documents, the website and more.
Website
Working with Raph Arar, we fully redesigned One Project’s website based on the brand update, and the strides the organization had made in its identity and mission. The goal was to create a website with color that reflected One Project’s message of hope that another world is possible. Fully designed in Figma, we worked with developers on different scroll, glow, and movement effects to add visual interest. While working on the design, I also worked with my Communications team, developing the language, content, and interviewing the wider organization for their input. We ended up with a site that felt representative of us as a group, that spoke both to the team and the communities we work with.
Ideas, sketches, and more
Much of the work I did while at One Project was internally facing and confidential. However, here are some sketches, designs elements for presentations, and more that show my visual thinking and problem solving.
Disclaimer: None of these visual aids are direct reflections of One Project’s work, ideas or operations past, present or future. Many of these designs are one-off ideas, drafts that didn’t make the cut, or designs taken out of the context of their presentations for confidentiality. Any and all official documents, designs, and insights that are accurate reflections of One Project’s current work can be found at their website.
Research Report
The last major project I worked on at One Project was designing the research report Solo el Pueblo Salva el Pueblo, an extensive research report on mutual aid in Puerto Rico. This report covers the decades long practices of mutual aid on the island, with a focus on the networks of community support that emerged out of the devastation of Hurricane María.
